TRI Applied Technologies (TRI-AT) is the commercialization and product arm of Texas Research Institute, Inc (TRI Austin)

Over the past 20 years, TRI-AT has brought to market a number technologies developed by TRI Austin.  These technologies include coatings, adhesives, greases, foams and composite materials.  We serve many industries but we primarily focus on aerospace, military vehicles, naval surface ships, submarines and the oil and gas industry. TRI is committed to consistently meeting and exceeding customers’ expectations for product quality and performance and providing timely delivery of products to meet customers’ requirements.

TRI Applied Technologies (TRI-AT) offers sales and marketing expertise along with manufacturing and production capabilities for niche markets and applications. Currently, TRI-AT manufactures and sells non-conductive coatings, polyurethane formulations, gap fillers, greases, blast-mats, and sealers.  Products are primarily sold through a direct sales force. Markets presently serviced include the United States Department of Defense and its subcontractors, along with the oil and gas industry. TRI-AT actively incorporates a market strategy seeking to expand into other pertinent industries, creating and establishing a sustainable, mutually-beneficial relationship with customers.

TRI NCC 209 Coating Approved for U.S. Naval Submarine Fleet Usage

The United States Navy approved Texas Research Institute Austin, Inc. (TRI Austin) Non-Conductive Coating (NCC) 209 for use on metal outboard cable connector backshells in its submarine fleet, effective April 15, 2020.
